Dr. Jennifer Malowney, BSc, DC
Clinic Director - Holly Chiropractic & Wellness

Dr. Jennifer Malowney began practicing at Holly Meadows Chiropractic Clinic in September 2008.  Her training commenced at McMaster University where she completed a Bachelor of Science degree.  She then graduated magna cum laude from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2008.
 
Dr. Malowney has always had a keen interest in positively influencing the health and wellbeing of others.  Dr. Malowney truly enjoys helping patients lead healthier pain free lives and the hands on healing nature of chiropractic is what led her to pursue this career. 
 
Dr. Malowney has additional training in the areas of: spinal rehabilitation, active release technique, custom orthotics casting and fitting, therapeutic compression sock fitting, pediatrics and ergonomics.  She is a member in good standing with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario (CC0) and is a member of both the Canadian Chiropractic Association and Ontario Chiropractic Association. 
  
Dr. Malowney’s approach to care is individualized to the needs of each patient and combines a variety of different therapies including chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapy, modalities, rehabilitative exercise instruction and lifestyle coaching.   Her interests include: skiing, yoga, and spending time with family and friends.
 
 
 
Dr. Scott Best, BA, DC

Dr. Scott Best began practice 10 years ago in 2005 when he opened the doors to Holly Meadows Chiropractic Clinic. He graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2004 and from York University in 1997, with an honours degree in kinesiology and psychology.
 
Dr. Scott Best provides service across a broad range of patients and conditions. He practices using Diversified Technique and treatment is determined by the unique needs of the individual patient.
 
Scott was an avid high school and collegiate athlete. He played rugby at the high school, varsity and club levels for 15 years. Scott still skis, golfs and plays hockey on a regular basis. Scott has had a variety of work experience in different fields over the years. He is able to translate that experience into an understanding of the limitations and difficulties that his patients encounter in their lives.
                              
 
 
 Linda Shih, ND

Linda became part of the team at Holly Meadows Chiropractic Clinic in May 2011.  Linda received her B.Sc(Hons) at the University of Toronto with a Major in Psychology and  Minors in Physiology and Zoology.  She continued to complete her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine diploma at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto.  She has received clinical experience in the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic focusing on family practice as well as the Sherbourne Health Clinic which focuses on HIV directed care.   Dr. Shih is also currently a certified Spine and Lower Limb Active Release Technique Practitioner.
 
Linda believes in a holistic approach to medicine and follows core principles of naturopathic medicine which are: do no harm, identify and treat the causes, doctor as teacher, treat the whole person, emphasize prevention and support the healing power of nature.  She is trained in the natural techniques and therapies including acupuncture/Asian medicine, botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, homeopathic medicine, physical medicine, lifestyle counseling and hydrotherapy and uses these to improve health on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level. 
 
Linda in the past has competed in swimming, tennis, dragonboat, and volleyball.  In addition she has run two half marathons for charity and continues to run, work out and practice yoga regularly.
 
 
 
Izabella Szotyori, RMT

Izabella chose to pursue a career as a massage therapist as she has always been a believer in the power of the ‘healing touch’.  Izabella graduated in June 2008 from the massage therapy program at Georgian College and is licenced as a Registered Massage Therapist in the province of Ontario.  Izabella has been a part of the team at Holly Meadows Chiropractic Clinic since January 2009.
 
Izabella is skilled in different treatment modalities including: deep tissue massage, sports injury massage, prenatal/postnatal massage, infant massage, trigger point therapy, and maintenance/relaxation massage.   Izabella has a special interest in working with pregnant women and children. 
 
Izabella has a young son who keeps her on her toes and laughing with each new experience. She also enjoys reading a good novel, and traveling. 
 
 
 
 
Crystal Russell, RMT

Crystal graduated from the Massage Therapy Advanced Diploma program offered at Georgian college in August 2010.  Throughout her 2 years of school Crystal’s education has provided her with a multitude of learning experiences involving a variety of pathologies. This opportunity has enabled her to care for clientele of all ages and stages with both Therapeutic and Relaxation massage.  Crystal has been working with the team at the clinic since 2012.
 
Crystal’s experience comes from her 4 years as a Registered Massage Therapist as well as her clinical placements in school which include, prenatal/ infant, sports, neurological, senior citizens, complex care and the student massage clinic.  
 
Crystal has learned how to be flexible with her techniques to suite the individual being treated; she feels that client care is the most important aspect of massage and looks forward to the opportunity to build a relationship with her clients.
 


 Leanna Sargent, RMT

Leanna moved to the Barrie area in June 2015. She sold her Massage Therapy business of 7 years that was located in Milton, Ontario to start a new journey as a new mom to an amazing baby boy! 

She is very pleased to be a part of the team at Holly Chiropractic & Wellness! 

Leanna graduated from ICT Kikkawa College, Toronto, ON in June of 2006. Kikkawa College is a private Massage Therapy & Hydrotherapy College.

Her passion for Yoga, Meditation and the Healing Arts lead her to her current profession as a RMT.

Leanna has a unique touch that is sensitive and caring, yet strong and intuitive. She works toward full body balancing, focusing on decreasing pent up muscle tension that can often be the main cause of physical pain and emotional dis-ease.  Leanna provides a very thorough massage treatment designed according to each clients individual needs and goals. Leanna has experience working with people of all ages. Believe it or not, Kids have stress too! And moreover, love to be massaged!  Touch is very calming and healthy for all of us! Services offered include: Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, Relaxation Massage, Thai/Yoga, Pre and Post Natal, Hot Stone Massage, and Reiki (certified 2nd level).
