Dr. Jennifer Malowney, BSc, DC

Dr. Jennifer Malowney began practicing at Holly Meadows Chiropractic Clinic in September 2008.  Her training commenced at McMaster University where she completed a Bachelor of Science degree.  She then graduated magna cum laude from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2008.
 
Dr. Malowney has always had a keen interest in positively influencing the health and wellbeing of others.  Dr. Malowney truly enjoys helping patients lead healthier pain free lives and the hands on healing nature of chiropractic is what led her to pursue this career. 
 
Dr. Malowney has additional training in the areas of: active release technique, custom orthotics casting and fitting, pediatrics and ergonomics.  She is a member in good standing with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario (CC0) and is a member of both the Canadian Chiropractic Association and Ontario Chiropractic Association.   
 
Dr. Malowney’s approach to care is individualized to the needs of each patient and combines a variety of different therapies including chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapy, modalities, rehabilitative exercise instruction and lifestyle coaching. 
 
Jennifer lives in the south end of Barrie with her husband and young son.  Her interests include: skiing, yoga, and spending time with family and friends.

Kinga joined Holly Meadows Chiropractic Clinic in January 2010.  Kinga earned her Honors Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Anthropology from the University of Toronto. It was during her time attending University that she began to question root causes of illness. Kinga’s desire to learn more in this area naturally drew her to the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine where she graduated as a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine.
 
Kinga is passionate about teaching others how to live healthier lives. She is committed to providing each patient with a personalized approach to their treatment.  She is well trained in a variety of therapies including: Nutritional Counseling/Supplementation, Lifestyle Counselling, Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine, Herbal Medicine, Homeopathy, Hydrotherapy and Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture. Kinga has experience treating a wide range of health concerns.  She has a special interest in preventative medicine, digestive conditions, women’s health, pediatrics, fertility promotion, pre-natal/peri-natal health, addictions and immune support.
 
Kinga holds professional membership with the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND).  She is licensed in Ontario through the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy-Naturopathy.  She is a member of the Association of Perinatal Naturopathic Doctors, a group of Naturopaths that has special interest in issues surrounding pregnancy and fertility.  She is also an occasional contributor to Life Peak Magazine, a health magazine that focuses on educating the public to live healthy and environmentally conscious lives.

Linda became part of the team at Holly Meadows Chiropractic Clinic in May 2011.  Linda received her B.Sc(Hons) at the University of Toronto with a Major in Psychology and  Minors in Physiology and Zoology.  She continued to complete her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine diploma at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto.  She has received clinical experience in the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic focusing on family practice as well as the Sherbourne Health Clinic which focuses on HIV directed care.   Dr. Shih is also currently a certified Spine and Lower Limb Active Release Technique Practitioner.
 
Linda believes in a holistic approach to medicine and follows core principles of naturopathic medicine which are: do no harm, identify and treat the causes, doctor as teacher, treat the whole person, emphasize prevention and support the healing power of nature.  She is trained in the natural techniques and therapies including acupuncture/Asian medicine, botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, homeopathic medicine, physical medicine, lifestyle counseling and hydrotherapy and uses these to improve health on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level. 
 
Linda in the past has competed in swimming, tennis, dragonboat, and volleyball.  In addition she has run two half marathons for charity and continues to run, work out and practice yoga regularly.
 
 
 
 
Izabella Szotyori, RMT

Izabella chose to pursue a career as a massage therapist as she has always been a believer in the power of the ‘healing touch’.  Izabella graduated in June 2008 from the massage therapy program at Georgian College and is licenced as a Registered Massage Therapist in the province of Ontario.  Izabella has been a part of the team at Holly Meadows Chiropractic Clinic since January 2009.
 
Izabella is skilled in different treatment modalities including: deep tissue massage, sports injury massage, prenatal/postnatal massage, infant massage, trigger point therapy, and maintenance/relaxation massage.   Izabella has a special interest in working with pregnant women and children. 
 
Izabella has a young son who keeps her on her toes and laughing with each new experience. She also enjoys reading a good novel, and traveling. 
 
 
 
                                Derrick Welsh, RMT

Derrick has been practicing as a Registered Massage Therapist since 2006 after graduating from the Canadian Therapeutic College.  He is a member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. Derrick is also a Certified Hot Stone Practitioner. Derrick has been practicing at Holly Meadows Chiropractic Clinic since 2011. 
 
Derrick has participated in sports such as soccer, baseball, martial arts and competitive swimming. This participation coupled with his education in Massage Therapy has led to a deeper understanding of sports related injuries and their rehabilitation.
 
Derrick won the 2009 Diamond award for Massage Therapists given by the Oakville Today Newspaper as voted on by Oakville residents.  Derrick’s goal is to help individuals relieve stress and tension and live a healthier active life style. The old saying of “No Pain No Gain” is not always true.
